Dear Friend,

This is an introduction to the NEW JERSEY TRAPPERS ASSOCIATION. We have been in existence since 1961. Through these years we have fought hard for all. Legislation on trapping. We are involved with Legislative bills at present. This is always a hard battle because we are the minority in the sports field.

The NJTA is an organization for the trappers. We have monthly meetings. Any member is welcome to come. The meeting is run by the President. The following elected officers are the Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Field & Education Director and NTA Director.

Some of the NJTA activities:

Providing education to the public on trapping by setting up the NJTA booth at Sportsmen shows; National Hunting & Fishing day; help the Division of F,G & W with trapper education courses and animal damage complaints; put on demonstrations to Boy Scout, Girl Scout, local schools and other groups; aid other states having problems; have representation to NTA and FTA Board of Directors meetings; provide 2 Fur Auctions January & March at Space Farms, Beemerville, NJ; provide a monthly column in the TRAPPER & PREDATOR CALLER paper; and have our Annual Convention and General Membership Meeting the 1st Sunday of October.
