All sportsmen and friends are welcome!
The Federation's main web page has explained the object of the Federation which is to act as your advocate and unite all sportsmen of New Jersey for the purpose of securing local, county and state wide action in conservation, hunting and fishing. The Federation works proactively with legislators, Fish, Game & Wildlife, and the Department of Environmental Protection to enhance all sporting opportunities and resources.
Along with club membership, the Federation offers individual membership benefits. For dues of $30.00, you can become an Insured Member, receive $1,000,000 excess liability insurance, membership certificate and the Federation Newspaper. County Federation Clubs send delegates to monthly meetings to discuss local, county and state problems. The meetings are usually attended by a Fish & Game Council person as well as the local Conservation Officer.
The Bergen County Chapter is one of the larger and most active chapters, and member clubs have been involved in or directly responsible for:
- 41 Hudson River shore access points including new launching and dock facilities at Palisades Interstate Park.
- Additional access and expanded fishing privileges at Liberty State Park.
- Direct Involvement with the beginning of the Hudson River Walkway Program.
- Change in the Muzzle loading season.
