CORRECTION – SEPTEMBER EDITION

The September, 2015 edition of the NJ Federated Sportsmen News printed a story titled “Black Bear Management Plan Approved.” Readers should note that that article in fact represents the original adoption of the previous plan that has been in place since 2010, and was printed as a result of editorial error. According to recent discussions with NJ Department of Environmental Protection personnel (as of August 25, 2015), the current plan was approved by the Fish and Game Council at their August 2015 meeting but the plan has not yet been signed by the NJDEP Commissioner, Bob Martin. As of this writing, Commissioner Martin is expected to sign off on the plan, after which time it will be published in the New Jersey Register.
The NJFSN regrets the error.
